ARTICLE 20 - STATUTE 32 OF 1927 "The corporation will have the power to create and issue one or more types of actions for, designations, preferences, privileges, voting powers, restrictions or requirements and other rights, that determine its social compact."  The flexibility of statute 32 of 1927, coupled with the implementation of the  fiscal "territoriality principle" enshrined in article 694 of the Panamanian Tax Code, have the perfect combination of corporate and tax law to provide one of the most convenient forms of business worldwide.

ARTICLE 694 – Tax Code (Accordant with the 2005 Reform) " The purpose of this tax the taxable income arising from any source within the territory of the Republic of Panama whatever the place is perceived." ... thus, in contrast, the income of a local entity (called a corporation) that occurs "outside" the territory of Panama, PAYS NO TAX on this income abroad.  To see it more clearly, if you install your company in our country, and your clients will pay anywhere in the world (except Panamá), this payment is exempt from income tax according to our Law.  Also a ship registered under Panamanian flag, being owned by a Panamanian company, equally, revenue generated by this ship in international shipping transactions are not eligible for payment of income tax in Panama because, as we have explained, these are foreign source income.

We are in the capacity to obtain your visa or residence in Panama.  First you must know the status of your nationality in front of the Panamanian immigration authorities. There are certain nationalities that require the so-called "VISA APPROVED", they can not enter the country if not authorized by the Panamanian Consulate abroad. This is not a visa or residence permit, and therefore, once the alien gets it, should immediately request an "immigration status" legal to the National Migration Service,  at its entry. There are other nationalities that with a simple "TOURIST VISA CARD or" (signed on the plane) can visit the country for 1 month. Upon expiry of this month must leave the country, or request an extension of tourists", with a lift in accordance with law. There are also some nationalities that do not require a tourist card for the visit.

 Resident as Retiree and Pensioner - May  apply for this visa foreigners that receive retirement benefits or pension from foreign government, international agency or foreign private companies, who enter the country to settle in and that have sufficient funds to cover all their costs and those of their dependents in the country. Monthly pension income or minimum required by law is  1,000.00 USD$, and should be granted for life. If both are retired in a couple "married" can apply to this visa together and reach the minimum amount required by law. As additional data on this visa, it gives, special "discounts" to retirees in all kinds of services and places of entertainment, from 10% to 50%, can import their furnishings or personal property from abroad without payment of import duties and authorizing the introduction of a car every two years, without payment of tax introduction. 

Residence for Italian Citizens - Panama Italy Convention - By Statute 15 of February 1, 1966, Panama ratified the "Treaty of Friendship, Commerce and Navigation between the Republic of Panama and the Republic of Italy, so that citizens of each of the contracting parties enjoy the territory of the other the benefit of residents, with regard to admission to professional or economic activities of any kind, except the practice of  retail trade. This agreement therefore can apply for residence in Panama, with no other condition than to be Italians. 

Resident by Fixed Term Deposit or by Purchase of Real Property  - This permit can be requested by the foreigner that invests the minimum amount of three hundred thousand dollars ($ 300000.00 USD) in property (not already funded and under your name), or maintain a fixed-term deposit the same amount, or a combination of both, and demonstrate that the funds come from abroad.

Resident as Investor of Macro-Enterprise - May apply for this permit foreigners that wish to invest in a company in Panama, with a minimum share capital of one hundred and sixty thousand dollars (160000.00 USD) per applicant, which are shareholders and dignitaries from the same company and sole holders of the shares reflect their investment. The company can only realize legal activities for foreigners not reserved for national citizens and must have a payroll of five (5) full-time Panamanian employees, accrued wages established in the Statute.
